Aufschwung der Industriekonjunktur verlangsamt sich

Abstract

Nachdem sich die Weltwirtschaft sehr rasch vom Einbruch durch die COVID-19-Krise erholt hatte, verlor die Dynamik zuletzt an Schwung. Vor allem in der Industrie wird der Aufschwung durch Material- und Lieferengpässe gedämpft. Vertrauensindikatoren liegen jedoch weiterhin auf hohem Niveau. In Österreich wuchs die Wirtschaftsleistung im III. Quartal 2021 robust. Getragen wurde dieses Wachstum von einem kräftigen Anstieg der Konsumnachfrage der privaten Haushalte. Auch die stark vom privaten Konsum abhängigen Dienstleistungsbereiche expandierten deutlich. Die Ausweitung der Beschäftigung setzt sich fort. Mit dem Anstieg der Rohstoffpreise beschleunigte sich die Inflation im Oktober weiter.
