Update der mittelfristigen Prognose der österreichischen Wirtschaft 2020 bis 2024

Abstract

In den nächsten Jahren dürfte sich das Wachstum bei Österreichs wichtigsten Handelspartnern abschwächen (2020/2024 +1½% p. a., 2015/2019 +2¼% p. a.). Das drückt die heimischen Exporte (+2,6% gegenüber +3,9%) und die Investitionstätigkeit (+1,5% gegenüber +3,5%). Die Entlastung der privaten Haushaltseinkommen durch den ab 2020 wirksamen Teil des Familienbonus und Maßnahmen zur Unterstützung von Personen mit niedrigem Einkommen werden vor allem 2020 bis 2022 die Konsumnachfrage stützen, für die ein durchschnittlicher Zuwachs von 1,4% pro Jahr prognostiziert wird (2015/2019 +1,2% p. a.). Getragen vom privaten Konsum wird die österreichische Wirtschaft voraussichtlich um +1¼% pro Jahr expandieren (2015/2019 +1,9% p. a.). In diesem Wachstumsszenario wird die Beschäftigung vermutlich um 1,0% p. a. zunehmen (2015/2019 +1,7% p. a.) und die Arbeitslosenquote von 7,4% im Jahr 2020 auf 7,6% im Jahr 2024 steigen. Für die Preise (gemäß VPI) wird mittelfristig mit einem mäßigen Anstieg gerechnet (+1,6% p. a.). Vor dem Hintergrund des prognostizierten Konjunkturverlaufes und der unterstellten fiskalischen Maßnahmen sollte der Finanzierungssaldo der öffentlichen Haushalte (0,4% des nominellen BIP) über die Prognoseperiode positiv bleiben und die Staatsschuldenquote (Verschuldung des Gesamtstaates in Prozent des nominellen BIP) unter 60% sinken.
