Die Entwicklung der Nachfrage nach Gütertransportleistungen in Österreich zwischen 1995 und 2015. Ergebnisse einer Input-Output-Analyse

Abstract

Unter Berücksichtigung der über Vorleistungsbeziehungen indirekt zugekauften Dienste fragten 2015 der Großhandel und Branchen der Grundstoffindustrie am stärksten Transportleistungen des Schienen- und Straßenverkehrs nach. Wie internationale Vergleiche zeigen, hängt die Verteilung der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Transportnachfrage auf unterschiedliche Verkehrsträger mit dem Anteil der Sachgüterproduktion an der gesamten Wirtschaftsleistung zusammen, wobei der Anteil der Nachfrage nach Schienenverkehrsleistungen mit steigendem Sachgüteranteil zunimmt. Jedoch fallen sowohl der Anteil von Transportleistungen am Produktionswert als auch der Anteil des Schienenverkehrs an der Gütertransportnachfrage umso geringer aus, je höher der Technologiegehalt einer Branche ist. Angesichts seiner Industriestruktur war in Österreich 2015 der Anteil des Schienenverkehrs an der gesamten Gütertransportnachfrage relativ hoch.
