Abstract

Im Jahr 2014 stieg die heimische Wirtschaftsleistung um nur 0,3%. Damit war bereits das dritte Jahr in Folge eine sehr träge Entwicklung zu verzeichnen. Maßgebend war dafür neben der anhaltenden Investitionszurückhaltung der Unternehmen und der gedämpften Ausgabenbereitschaft der privaten Haushalte auch ein Fehlen kräftiger außenwirtschaftlicher Impulse. Stimmung und Erwartungen der Unternehmen und Haushalte waren geprägt von vermehrtem Pessimismus. Das Arbeitskräfteangebot nahm stärker zu als die Beschäftigung, sodass ein weiterer Anstieg der Arbeitslosenquote auf 8,4% zu verzeichnen war (2013: 7,6%). Der Energiepreisverfall drückte die Inflationsrate (+1,7% nach +2,0% im Jahr 2013), die positive Inflationsdifferenz gegenüber Deutschland bzw. dem Durchschnitt des Euro-Raumes blieb bestehen.
