Konjunkturflaute hält im Euro-Raum an

Abstract

Während sich die Wachstumssignale in den USA und in Lateinamerika verstärken, verliert Chinas Wirtschaft seit Jahresbeginn etwas an Dynamik. Im Euro-Raum ist die Konjunktur weiterhin durch die aktuellen Probleme belastet. Die Unternehmensumfragen vom April zeigen hier abermals einen Anstieg der Skepsis hinsichtlich der künftigen Wirtschaftsentwicklung. Ähnlich wie Deutschland leidet auch die österreichische Wirtschaft unter dem Nachlassen der internationalen Nachfrage. Der OECD Composite Leading Indicator weist für die Weltwirtschaft insgesamt eine Besserung ab dem II. Quartal 2013 aus. Davon könnte die österreichische Exportwirtschaft ab dem 2. Halbjahr verstärkt profitieren. Noch verläuft die Entwicklung gedämpft, die Unternehmen sind auch in Österreich skeptisch. Der WIFO-Frühindikator sank im April erstmals seit Oktober 2012. Während die Inflation abflaut, spiegelt der Arbeitsmarkt die Auswirkungen der Konjunkturschwäche wider. Die Zahl der Beschäftigten stagniert bei steigender Arbeitslosigkeit.
