Österreichs Wirtschaft im Jahr 2009: Schwerste Krise seit über 60 Jahren

Abstract

International und auch in Österreich brach die Konjunktur 2009 ein. Die Weltwirtschaft schrumpfte erstmals seit über 60 Jahren. 2009 verringerte sich das heimische BIP real um 3,6%. Die größten Produktionseinbußen wurden im I. Quartal verzeichnet. Im Jahresverlauf besserte sich die Wirtschaftslage, und im 2. Halbjahr nahm die Produktion saisonbereinigt bereits wieder zu. Die Konjunkturschwäche und der Verfall der Rohstoffpreise drückten die Inflationsrate in Österreich auf einen Jahresdurchschnitt von 0,5%. Trotz der öffentlichen Maßnahmen auf dem heimischen Arbeitsmarkt sank die Beschäftigung, die Arbeitslosenquote stieg erheblich.
