Konjunkturaufschwung 2005/2007 kürzer als im letzten Zyklus

Abstract

Der Konjunkturaufschwung 2005 bis 2007 unterscheidet sich von der letzten Hochkonjunktur (1997 bis 2000) in einigen Punkten markant: Die Aufschwungphase war um etwa ein Jahr kürzer als damals. Obwohl der Export in beiden Zyklen die wichtigsten Impulse gab, reagierten diesmal die Ausrüstungsinvestitionen sehr verhalten. Hingegen wuchsen die Bauinvestitionen kräftig, die Aufträge der öffentlichen Hand wirkten prozyklisch. Der wichtigste Unterschied betrifft die Entwicklung der Konsumnachfrage: Während diese sich Ende der neunziger Jahre stetig beschleunigte und im Jahr 2000 ein Wachstum von real 3,9% erreichte, schwächte sich die Dynamik jüngst sogar ab (2007 +1,5%). Obwohl die Zahl der Beschäftigten sogar stärker stieg als im Aufschwung 1997/2000, ging jene der Arbeitslosen weniger stark zurück. Dies hat mit der kürzeren Dauer des Aufschwungs, der Nachfragestruktur und der kräftigen Ausweitung des Arbeitskräfteangebotes zu tun.
