Privatversicherungswirtschaft: 2006 durch verhaltenes Prämienwachstum geprägt

Abstract

Die Entwicklung der österreichischen Versicherungswirtschaft unterschied sich 2006 vom internationalen Trend: Auf dem Weltmarkt verzeichnete die Lebensversicherung starke Zuwächse, während die Nicht-Lebensversicherung wesentlich geringere Steigerungsraten aufwies. In Österreich war hingegen die Nicht-Lebensversicherung die treibende Kraft, während die Lebensversicherung das hohe Ausgangsniveau des Vorjahres kaum übertraf. Die Zahlungen an Versicherte stiegen sowohl in der Lebens- als auch in der Schadenversicherung deutlich. Entsprechende Anpassungen der versicherungstechnischen Rückstellungen ermöglichten den Unternehmen kontinuierliche Gewinne.
