Boom in der Industrieproduktion, verhaltene Konsumnachfrage

Abstract

Die österreichische Wirtschaft expandierte im III. Quartal gemäß der revidierten Quartalsrechnung des WIFO real gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 3,2%, gegenüber dem Vorquartal um 0,9%. Die Wirtschaftsentwicklung wird von der Hochkonjunktur in der exportorientierten Industrie und der Bauwirtschaft getragen. In beiden Bereichen lassen die Ergebnisse des WIFO-Konjunkturtests für die nächsten Monate eine Fortsetzung der günstigen Entwicklung erwarten. Hingegen entwickeln sich die Konsumausgaben der privaten Haushalte weiterhin sehr verhalten. Sie wachsen heuer im sechsten Jahr in Folge langsamer, als es dem langfristigen Durchschnitt entsprechen würde, vor allem wegen der mäßigen Expansion der real verfügbaren Einkommen. Die gute Konjunktur in der Sachgütererzeugung und der Bauwirtschaft trägt zunehmend zum Anstieg der Zahl der Vollzeitarbeitsplätze und zum Rückgang der Arbeitslosigkeit bei.
