Wirtschaftsentwicklung in den MOEL durch deutliche Konvergenz geprägt

Abstract

2003 beschleunigte sich das Wachstum in den neuen EU-Ländern, und bislang rückständige Länder holten gegenüber den neuen EU-Ländern auf. Die langsame Konjunkturbelebung in der EU 15 sowie eine Zunahme der heimischen Investitionstätigkeit etwa in Polen und Tschechien werden eine leichte Wachstumsbeschleunigung in den neuen EU-Ländern zur Folge haben. Die Aussichten für eine Konsolidierung der Staatsfinanzen in diesen Ländern sowie für ihre Teilnahme an der Währungsunion sind aber aus mehreren Gründen problematisch. Bulgarien und Rumänien ziehen immer mehr Direktinvestitionen an, während die ökonomische Situation in Russland und der Ukraine weiterhin stark von der Entwicklung der Energiepreise auf dem Weltmarkt geprägt ist.
