Außenhandel profitiert von internationalem Aufschwung und niedrigem Euro-Kurs

Abstract

Österreichs Exporteuren kommen nach wie vor die anhaltende Schwäche des Euro und die ausgezeichnete Lage der Weltwirtschaft zugute. Trotz der regen Auslandsnachfrage verschlechterte sich die Leistungsbilanz im 1. Halbjahr deutlich, da der niedrige Wechselkurs und der hohe Rohölpreis einen noch stärkeren Anstieg der Ausgaben für Importe zur Folge hatten. Die heimische Wirtschaft wächst kräftig, gemäß den Unternehmensbefragungen ist jedoch in der nahen Zukunft keine neuerliche Beschleunigung zu erwarten. Im August erhöhte sich die Zahl der unselbständig Beschäftigten trotz der guten Konjunktur saisonbereinigt nicht weiter, die Arbeitslosenquote sank jedoch abermals geringfügig.
