Wachstumsabschwächung stellt internationale Wirtschaftspolitik vor neue Herausforderungen

Abstract

Die Entwicklung der Weltwirtschaft ist von der tiefen Krise in Asien gekennzeichnet. Die Finanzkrise hat sich unter den Rahmenbedingungen liberalisierten Kapitalverkehrs auf Rußland und Lateinamerika ausgedehnt. Die starke Inlandsnachfrage der USA gleicht die wachsenden Leistungsbilanzüberschüsse Asiens aus und stabilisiert so die Weltwirtschaft. Auch in Europa übernimmt die Inlandsnachfrage eine tragende Rolle im Konjunkturzyklus, und dies wirkt der Dämpfung der Exportnachfrage entgegen. Nach einer "Wachstumsdelle" 1999 könnten Nachfrage und Produktion sich wieder etwas beleben.
