Weitreichende Deregulierung des europäischen Versicherungsmarktes. Die Lage der österreichischen Versicherungswirtschaft 1994/95

Abstract

Die wettbewerbsrechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen haben sich auf dem Versicherungsmarkt durch die Teilnahme Österreichs am EWR gravierend geändert. Deregulierung und Liberalisierung werden vor allem im Massengeschäft erst über einen längeren Zeitraum quantitativ erfaßbare Effekte zeigen. Das Prämienwachstum fiel im inländischen Direktgeschäft der österreichischen Versicherungswirtschaft 1994 sehr mäßig aus. Nach einer leichten Erholung 1995 dürfte das Prämienaufkommen 1996 aufgrund der schlechten Konjunktursituation und der Auswirkungen der Budgetkonsolidierung neuerlich nur schwach zunehmen.
