Prognose für 1995 und 1996. Langsameres Wirtschaftswachstum – passive Leistungsbilanz

Abstract

In Österreich verliert die Konjunktur an Schwung. Die Verlangsamung des Wachstums wird voraussichtlich bis in das Jahr 1996 reichen und ist einerseits durch die nur mäßige Nachfrage in Westeuropa begründet, andererseits durch die unmittelbaren Folgen von Wechselkursschwankungen und härtere Wettbewerbsbedingungen, die Teile der Wirtschaft unter größeren Anpassungsdruck stellen. Sie tragen zu einer deutlichen Erhöhung des Leistungsbilanzdefizits bei; andererseits dämpfen sie den Preisauftrieb und bringen den Konsumenten Wohlfahrtsgewinne.
