Lohnstückkostenposition der Industrie 1992 verschlechtert

Abstract

Die internationale Lohnstückkostenposition der Industrie Österreichs hatte sich in den Jahren 1988 bis 1991 kontinuierlich verbessert, 1992 war eine Verschlechterung zu verzeichnen. Durch die Abflachung der Konjunktur schwächte sich das Produktivitätswachstum ab, und die Lohnstückkosten stiegen – nach einem Jahrzehnt der Stagnation – um 2,2%. Obwohl der Lohnstückkostenauftrieb für den Durchschnitt der Konkurrenten um 1½ Prozentpunkte stärker war als in Österreich, nahmen die relativen Lohnstückkosten der Industrie Österreichs in einheitlicher Währung um 0,4% zu, da sich für den Schilling aus den Währungsturbulenzen im Herbst 1992 eine effektive Aufwertung um rund 2% ergab.
