Der Zerfall Österreich-Ungarns – ein Lehrstück für die GUS?

Abstract

Die internationale Forschergemeinschaft wendet sich in stets höherem Maße den wirtschaftlichen Folgen des Zerfalls der österreichisch-ungarischen Monarchie zu. Sie hofft, aus den damaligen Ereignissen Lehren für die gegenwärtigen Probleme in Osteuropa, insbesondere in der GUS ziehen zu können. In diesem Rahmen wurden vor allem Studien über den Zerfall der gemeinsamen Kronenwährung nach 1918 erstellt. Das WIFO analysiert in seiner Untersuchung die Effekte der politischen Trennung auf den realen Strom von Gütern und Dienstleistungen und zieht daraus Schlüsse für die gegenwärtige Situation der GUS.
