Abstract

Trotz einer Verlangsamung des Wachstumstempos werden die Investitionen in der Gesamtwirtschaft 1991 neuerlich rascher expandieren als das BIP, real um 4¾%. In der Industrie erreichte der Investitionszyklus 1990 mit einem Zuwachs von 19% seinen Höhepunkt. Heuer planen die Unternehmen laut dem jüngsten WIFO-Investitionstest eine weitere Steigerung in der Anschaffung von Kapitalgütern um real 7%. Ein wachsender Anteil der Ausgaben entfällt auf Direktinvestitionen im Ausland. Die Bauwirtschaft beabsichtigt, ihr Investitionsvolumen 1991 um 5% zu steigern, deutlich schwächer als im Vorjahr (+15%). Hingegen sollte eine kräftige Aufstockung der Investitionsbudgets in der Elektrizitätswirtschaft und den öffentlichen Verkehrs- und Versorgungsunternehmen die entsprechenden Kürzungen des Jahres 1990 mehr als wettmachen.
