Abstract

Der österreichische Ostexport expandierte 1990 kräftig (+15% gegenüber 1989, ohne UdSSR +25%). Vor allem die Lieferungen von Konsumgütern und modernen Einrichtungen nahmen zu. Nach der Ostöffnung wurde eine Neugliederung des österreichischen Außenhandels notwendig. Das WIFO zählt die DDR nicht mehr zum Osten, zusätzlich aber Jugoslawien. 60% der österreichischen Exporte nach Jugoslawien entfallen auf Slowenien und Kroatien. Die Verschuldung der Oststaaten in Österreich wird vom WIFO auf 170 Mrd. S geschätzt.
