Markt, Umwelt und Wirtschaftswachstum – ein Trilemma?

Abstract

Does a market economy work without economic growth? Is long-term economic growth compatible with finite resources and environmental protection? Do market economy and environmental protection go together? The answer to these questions depends very much on what one means by each of the buzzwords: market, environment and economic growth. Properly understood, the three elements fit together very well and there is no reason to play one off against another.
