Abstract

The research paper traces back the emergence, development and the effects of the trade conflict between the USA and China. The paper presents the theoretical preconditions for the conflict and analyses the trade relations between the two countries since the end of the 1970s up to the beginning of September 2019. There are also presented and analyzed the effects of the trade conflict on the economies of the USA and China, on the global production chains and on the investment flows between the two countries.
