Abstract

The present study aims at tracing out and analyzing the theoretical and practical aspects of competitive intelligence in the context of a considerably complicated in recent years competitive environment. There are consecutively considered the evolutionary aspects, the competitive intelligence cycle and some of its contemporary dimensions. The author seeks to synthesize and to demonstrate interrelations between the proper use of this modern, very useful instrument and the improved process of management decision-making through accurate forecasting, early warning and control over trends.
