Abstract

In the report we will try to present the boundaries of the middle class in Bulgaria for 2021 using the most applied methods in this regard, as well as present our option for discussion. Most modern statistical sources defining the middle class are based on material and property status, socio-professional status and self-esteem. These approaches make it possible to identify the size of the middle class relatively easily, and in this presentation we will limit ourselves to income criteria only.
