Forms Of Employment In Bulgarian Agriculture

Abstract

Under the rapidly changing economic realities employment is a key factor for raising the quality of life and the development of human capital. As a traditional sector agriculture is of strategic importance to the country, not merely because it ensures the security of food supplies, but also because it provides employment and income to a large part of the rural population. In the article there are discussed the forms of employment, generalized on the basis of various criteria. In connection with the characteristic features of agricultural employment there are worked out the kinds of hired workers and the classes of self-employed persons in agriculture. There are mentioned the advantages and disadvantages of using flexible forms of employment in agriculture. There are recommended certain management decisions to the employers in the sector.
