Abstract

On the base of the fastest-growing European countries the paper is trying to prove the thesis that it is possible to accelerate economic growth without increasing the income inequality. For this purpose, we study the period 1990-2016, in which the European countries that achieved the highest average real GDP growth rate per capita are selected. The evolution of inequality over the period of their most dynamic period is analyzed.
