Abstract

Within the domain the economic tourist resources are projects of industrial heritage; active industrial and agricultural places, open for visits and presentations; scientific centers making popular new achievements, research and innovative actions. There has been a keen interest towards these resources in the last years. The tourists interested in them achieve knowledge, opportunities, experience and entertainment, and the economic establishments (together with the towns and regions they are situated in) impose image and brand, strengthening their reputation. The benefits are more than significant and are a prerequisite for stimulating the development of these resources and their connecting with strategic plans for a Sustainable Development of the Destination.
