Abstract

The subject of study in this report is the inward foreign direct investment (FDI) in Bulgaria after the global economic crisis. The methodological plan presents a comparative analysis on their sectoral and regional distribution, degree of investment interest by country of origin, as well as forms of penetration. It is tasked to track the emerging trends in inward FDI inflow and stock, with the base year being the year of the onset of the global economic crisis, 2008. The purpose of this report is to focus on the qualitative aspects of inward FDI and to outline conclusions about their impact on the national economy in the post-crisis recovery period.
