Abstract

The report examines a methodology for managing conflicts in extreme situations within the context of mediation. The conflict resolution strategies presented are based on established principles of mediation, such as active listening, mutual understanding, recognition of participants' emotions, and creating a common ground for resolving disputes. The report describes three steps for managing conflicts in extreme situations: preparation, application of mediation strategies, and completion of the mediation process. Preparation involves assessing risks, selecting the appropriate methodology, and preparing the mediator. Application of mediation strategies includes identifying participants' needs, mutual understanding of the problem, and seeking solutions that meet those needs. Completion of the mediation process involves assessing the results, settling agreements, and providing support for the implementation of the agreement. The methodology for managing conflicts in extreme situations within the context of mediation is particularly useful for professionals working in the field of mediation and the judicial system, as well as anyone who wants to learn more about these methodologies and apply them in their life.
