Abstract

The success of the National Strategy for the Conservation of Biodiversity in Bulgaria requires consistent action and steady progress in many areas. Several activities are key elements of the strategy that require urgent support from the Bulgarian side and the international community. They are extremely important as they offer opportunities to derive short and long-term benefits and provide the essential part of the basis for building the overall biodiversity conservation strategy.
