Youth Tourism – Factor for the Globalization of the Educational Environment in Bulgaria

Abstract

Distinctive feature of the 21st century is the process of globalization which in high degree affects the forming of multicultural environment. An essential role for the development of the global citizenship is designated to the new generations, which, yet in their young age, are turn into generators of social and technological ideas. One of their main ways of self-expression is exactly the educational tourism, destined to define the multicultural character of the future. The present study aims to bring to the forefront the current state of the intercultural education in our country and to formulate some directions for applying innovative models for developing educational youth tourism in Bulgaria.
