Abstract

Si se concibe a las organizaciones en general como sistemas dinámicos y complejos y si se define la eficacia organizacional en términos de la habilidad demostrada por la organización para una adaptación efectiva, se puede, entonces, inferir que el rol central de la gerencia consiste en ayudar al sistema a mejorar su capacidad de adaptación. En el presente trabajo se asume que, no obstante recurrir a menudo a los servicios de especialistas, el gerente continúa siendo la figura visible y dominante del proceso de cambio, teniendo, obviamente, la máxima responsabilidad para iniciar, apoyar y estimular los programas de desarrollo y mejoramiento planteados en su organización.
