Abstract

The article assesses the quality of Ukrainian institutional environment based on sub-indexes of "Institutions" pillar of Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum for 2006 to 2015. The structure of the block of parameters has been analysed using the method of grouping of indicators by mean values and variance. The analysis shows extremely poor quality of national institutional environment, and the index of "Institution" pillar has the lowest average values of the other components of the GCI for Ukraine. The results of the analysis should be considered when designing and implementing economic policies, including the regulatory one.
