Trends of development of the Ukrainian banks' refinancing system

Abstract

The article deals with the problems of the National Bank of Ukraine to refinance the domestic commercials banks under current conditions of the banking system functioning. The theoretical and practical aspects of refinancing the commercial banks of Ukraine have been investigated. The main types of refinancing the commercial banks of Ukraine have been defined and their features have been demonstrated. The indicators of refinancing the commercial banks of Ukraine have been analysed, and the main trends of the Ukrainian banks' refinancing system development have been emphasized. The basic development thrust of the Ukrainian commercial banks' refinancing system has been determined. The topical issues of the refinancing system have been revealed within the national field. The author's suggestion regarding the improvement and enhancement of the refinancing system under current conditions, including implementation of assets and REPO operations into the single pool, have been provided.
