La demanda por dinero durante la hiperinflación en un modelo de expectativas racionales: el caso de argentina
Abstract
Se modela la relación entre dinero y precios siguiendo el esquema desarrollado por Salemi y Sargent y estimamos una función de demanda por dinero bajo expectativas racionales. Como en otros estudios para países en desarrollo, encontramos que el nivel de precios en Argentina ha crecido a una tasa muy por encima de aquella que maximizara el ingreso del estado. Este resultado es analizado a la luz de argumentos presentados por Nichols (1974). Técnicas máximo verosímiles son utilizadas para estimar los parámetros relevantes.Download Info
