Diferenciales de salario interindustriales en la economía chilena: 1969,1978,1987

Abstract

Este estudio realiza una estimación empírica sobre la existencia de diferenciales de salarios interindustriales en la economía chilena, basada en información sobre el Gran Santiago para los años 1969, 1978 y 1987. La investigación demuestra que trabajadores con similares características individuales perciben remuneraciones sustancialmente diferentes, detectándose las instituciones financieras entre los sectores con elevados diferenciales de remuneraciones, en tanto que la administración pública destaca entre los sectores con diferenciales negativos. Se analiza la evidencia empírica a la luz de la discusión entre modelos competitivos y salarios de eficiencia, concluyendo que el grueso de los resultados apunta hacia una interpretación no competitiva de los diferenciales de salarios observados en la economía chilena.
