Construcción de perfiles de vida para grupos sociales en Chile

Abstract

El perfil de vida de un grupo social constituye en esencia una extensión o apertura del conocido concepto de “esperanza de vida al nacer”, para el mismo grupo. La construcción de este perfil permite aportar información que puede concebirse como un marco integrador para indicadores de carácter social referentes al grupo objetivo, del mismo modo como las cuentas nacionales constituyen un marco integrador para información de tipo económico Este trabajo tiene por objetivo elaborar y presentar, mediante la técnica de construcción de perfiles de vida, un conjunto de indicadores relativos a la situación social de hombres y mujeres en el Gran Santiago, referidos a diferentes fechas durante los últimos veinticinco años.
