Abstract

Este libro consiste en un conjunto de 17 artículos cuya preocupación central radica en la revisión de explicaciones alternativas a la Gran Depresión en los Estados Unidos. Los nombres de Ana Schawrtz, Peter Temin, Allan Meltzer, Robert Gordon, Thomas Mayer, James Pierce, Phillip Cagan y el propio editor Karl Brunner conforman, entre otros, el conjunto de autores de esta selección. Entre ellos, algunos como los de Schawrtz, Temin y Mayer nos son conocidos por sus ya anteriores incursiones en diversas áreas de la historia económica general y aplicada.
