Criminological approach to domestic violence

Abstract

Domestic violence is a phenomenon with negative impact on health, adversely affect the communities in which it occurs. For this reason, domestic violence is considered as a matter of community interest, social and public health problem and, in particular reproductive health. Also, domestic violence is a pervasive phenomenon, dangerous and difficult to control who emerged lately. The scale and gravity of the phenomenon are given the large number of incoming calls and complaints registered with the police, the large number of women victims encountered in the halls emergency room of hospitals and the increased incidence of congenital malformations of newborns with mothers minted during pregnancy.
