Abstract

The term “dispute” reflects a series of emotional human states, such as: anxiety, hostility, stamina, open agression, as well as all types of opposition and antagonistic interaction, including competition. After classifyng the labour disputes and presenting the main causes generating group disputes, the paper presents the conflict models of greater importance from the point of view of managerial theory and practice: the process, structural and organizational models. Basically, the organizational conflicts have developed over five tension phases: latent tension – all dispute conditions exist, but are not clearly seen; the acknowledgement of the conflict by the involved persons (and not only); the increase of tension – the conflict is innevitable; the breaking out of the conflict; the end of it. An important role is dedicated to the strike as a special labour dispute; the author presents the alternatives to such conflicts and the organizational therapy for solving these problems
