Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag betrachtet das Thema solide Staatsfinanzen aus einer innovativen Perspektive und stellt den Einfluss sogenannter fiskalischer (Un-)Sicherheit auf die wirtschaftliche Aktivität ins Zentrum. Auf Grundlage eines neuen Indikators zur Messung von „fiskalischer Unsicherheit“ wird für Deutschland gezeigt, dass eine geringere fiskalische Unsicherheit mit erhöhten Ausrüstungsinvestitionen einhergeht und so spürbar zur gesamtwirtschaftlichen Wachstumsdynamik beitragen kann. Finanzpolitische Richtwerte, die den Grad fiskalischer Stetigkeit ökonomisch sinnvoll erhöhen, können die finanzpolitische Unsicherheit reduzieren und so Investitionsaktivität begünstigen.
