Abstract

Zusammenfassung Um die globale Erwärmung auf deutlich unter 2°C zu begrenzen, ist eine ambitionierte Klimapolitik notwendig. Gleichzeitig eröffnet eine klimapolitische Vorreiterrolle Deutschlands und der EU auch vielfältige ökonomische Chancen. Wo Konflikte mit industriepolitischen Zielen bestehen, lassen sich diese durch treffgenaue und anreizkompatible Entlastungen der Industrie entschärfen. Die anstehende Reform des europäischen Emissionshandels bietet eine Gelegenheit, klima- und wirtschaftspolitische Ziele besser in Einklang zu bringen.
