Rohstoffgewinnung in Deutschland: Auseinandersetzungen und Konflikte

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Rohstoffgewinnung wurde in Deutschland – im Kontrast zur vieldiskutierten Energiewende – bislang weniger unter dem Aspekt der sozialen Akzeptanz beleuchtet. Allerdings finden sich hierbei zahlreiche Konflikte, in denen sich Unternehmen und Bürgerinitiativen mit widerstreitenden Interessen gegenüberstehen. Vor dem Hintergrund einer sozialkonstruktivistischen Forschungsperspektive und mit Bezug auf die Konflikttheorie Ralf Dahrendorfs untersuchen wir in diesem Beitrag mittels einer Medienanalyse, welche Aspekte bei Konflikten um die Gewinnung mineralischer Rohstoffe besonders relevant sind. In einem weiteren Schritt fragen wir die Einstellungen zu den medial präsenten Themen jeweils bei einer Stichprobe von zufällig ausgewählten Haushalten und bei Vertreter(inne)n von Bürgerinitiativen ab. In der Gegenüberstellung dieser Ergebnisse zeigen sich stark verfestigte Einstellungen gegen den Rohstoffabbau verbunden mit emotionaler Betroffenheit auf Seiten der Bürgerinitiativen, wohingegen die Haushaltsbefragung auf wenig verfestigte Einstellungen und geringere emotionale Betroffenheit der Befragten zum Thema hindeutet.
