Abstract

The study aims to propose an industry-oriented quality management method with the help of integrated QFD-TOPSIS approach. The proposed method is applied in a case study of Indian engineering education for the improvement in quality of engineering education. For this purpose, a total of twenty-nine HRs are interviewed for collecting industrial needs. Thereafter importance ratings of those needs are collected with the help of questionnaire survey method. Further, quality parameters of Indian engineering education are identified and a correlation between identified quality parameters and industrial needs are made. Based on collected data weight of the quality parameter is calculated with the help of TOPSIS method. At last, the outcome of the study has been synthesized to derive the strategies for the quality improvement of engineering education. suggested strategies will help the engineering institution in providing a better quality of engineering education which helps in increasing the employability of engineering graduates.
