Case Study On The Main Sources For Social Security Institutionally Granted By The Capital City Hall During 1864-1916

Abstract

People, regardless the times, their age, education, gender, social category or the place they live in and their current income, have always had providing food as their main daily occupation. From this point of view, the majority succeed in providing at least the bare necessities on their own. On the opposite, there are those with no material resources, for whom the meal represents a priority in their life, this being one of the their main daily concerns, which marks their social existence, a state of facts we find as a phenomenon in the XIX-th century, as well as the beginning of the XX-th century. There were numerous innitiatives, part of them succeeded in materialising as community kitchens, school or university canteens, ospels or social meals offered on special occasions (charities, national festivities or other special feasts, etc).
