Criados, estructura económica y social y mercado de trabajo en la Galicia rural a finales del Antiguo Régimen

Abstract

Regional location of markets for rural servants must be studied prior to their internal workings or the relation between servants and the peasant economies. The organization of agricultural work in Galicia at the end of the Ancien Régime only accounts partially for these markets and for peasant families' demand of servants. To overcome this limitation, attention must be paid to the demand of the rural elite, which in turn depended upon different local social structures.
