1995 United Nations Fish Stocks Agreement: Some Legal Aspects

Abstract

This article reviews the extent to which the provisions of the 1995 United Nations Fish Stocks Agreement have been incorporated into national laws and regulations, as well as into the charters and/or measures of the RFMOs, the extent to which those provisions are actually being applied in practice and the extent to which States and RFMOs are taking action to remedy instances of failure to apply those provisions in practice.
