Abstract

На сегодняшний день одним из основных направлений коммерческих банков, приносящих им большую часть прибыли, является кредитование. Одной из наиболее важных услуг такого рода является выдача ссуд, которые в основном используются частным бизнесом для осуществления инвестиций и потребительских целей. Однако не все банковские средства могут быть размещены в виде ссуд. Проблема состоит в том, что ссуды из-за достаточно высокой вероятности их невозврата со стороны заемщика, среди всех форм банковского кредита, относятся к самым рискованным банковским активам. Таким образом, большинство банков стали направлять значительную часть своего портфеля активов во вложения в ценные бумаги.
