Abstract

Приведены новые результаты в теории средних. Введены взвешенные средние I типа, соответствуют элементам выборки, и II типа, соответствующие членам вариационного ряда. Прослежена эволюция представлений о расстоянии Кемени и медиане Кемени. Предложена модифицированная медиана Кемени, удобная для вычислений и позволяющая избежать эффекта «центра дырки от бублика». Как обобщение медианы Кемени введены и изучены эмпирические и теоретические средние в пространствах произвольной природы. Для них доказаны законы больших чисел.
