Abstract

Если кандидатская степень еще доступна большинству соискателей, то докторская многим уже не по карману. Степень доктора наук стоит сегодня как средняя иномарка. Сотни тысяч рублей идут вовсе не на покупку диссертации, а на защиту собственной, выстраданной работы в соответствии с требованиями Высшей аттестационной комиссии (ВАК). Изменить положение вещей могла бы реформа ВАК, но, по мнению ее руководства, лучшее из сделанного им это «осознанное отсутствие институциональных преобразований».
