Abstract

Представлено определение материально-производственных запасов, как собирательного понятия, используемого для именования краткосрочных материальных неденежных активов. Уточнены критерии признания запасов в части срока полезного использования и способности приносить экономические выгоды. Акцентированы различия между компонентами материально-производственных запасов материалами, товарами и готовой продукцией. Отмечена необходимость нормативной регламентации учета незавершенного производства как компонента запасов. Представлена классификация запасов по функциональной роли в процессе производства. Раскрыты возможности учетной политики при первоначальной и последующей оценке запасов.
