Abstract

Изучается регуляция защитных систем организма, ответственных за продолжительность жизни. На основании наблюдений за продолжительностью жизни червей Caenorhabditis elegans после стрессового воздействия в начале жизни показано, что у червей существуют два стационарных уровня защиты. Переключение между этими уровнями соответствует старению организма, а продление продолжительности жизни происходит за счёт повышения эффективности защиты в старших возрастах. Наличие двух стационарных уровней защиты объясняется нелинейностью дифференциальных уравнений, описывающих производство в организме вредных и защитных веществ. Обсуждается распространение полученных результатов на человека.
